As prime consultant; the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation acknowledged the “Restoration and Renovation of the Old Lethbridge CPR Train Station” with a design award, the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects awarded the firm a national design merit award for “Phase I Revitalization of Galt Gardens Project”.
The firm has received the “Alberta Steel Design Award” from the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction for the Coalbanks Crossing Pedestrian Bridge and the “Lethbridge Main Street Award for Excellence” the restoration and rehabilitation of the Esquire Building in Lethbridge.
The Great Canadian Plains Railway Society, based in Stirling, was among recent recipients of the Historical Society of Alberta’s 2009 awards. The society received the Award of Merit for its work in restoring the Coutts/Sweetgrass International Train Station Customs Depot in Stirling Alberta.
Personally, Robert Hirano was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal for his contributions towards the preservation of heritage architecture and towards the arts and culture in Alberta.
