studies and reports
RKH Architecture is deeply dedicated to the preservation of Canada’s rich Heritage through the conservation of its architecture. Our mission is to engage the community in preserving and sharing the stories and places that matter to them.
Through a comprehensive conservation study process, assessments to the degree and type of rehabilitative and restoration necessary can be made. We study both the physical (site and built environment) and the non-physical (events/culture) aspects that contribute toward the historic value. The research focuses on where the heritage value of the historic places lies, how it physically and functionally fits into its surroundings and why these elements and characteristics are important. At the conclusion of the study, planning and development of a process that integrates the technology of today with the practices and systems found within the Historic Place.
