 architectural restoration
One of the main objectives for this project was to reinforce, repair and protect the deteriorating stone rubble and concrete foundations. The result was the excavation to expose the damaged areas, which were then reinforced with steel anchors and an application of new concrete on the foundation wall surface. Although the repairs were mostly unseen below grade, the degree of repair was maintain to only the deteriorated areas, in order not disturb historic material on the site. Installation of a bituminous membrane on the exterior concrete was done as an intervention or protective measure against future water damage.
